As Artist, Writers, Actors, Activists, and Entrepreneurs sometimes we can have a little trouble staying "inspired." whenever I start to feel a little "let down" with my creative impulses I always try to remind myself to "Follow the Juice." or to do whatever it is my heart is telling me to do. Sometimes we have to pack a bag get on a plane and fly across the world to get inspired but a lot of times it can be as simple as sitting down and writing an email you have been putting off, Or painting your Toenails. My inspiration a lot of times comes from meditation, sitting down - and writing all the jumbled nonsense in my head. (Bad ideas included), Or being physical/ getting outside. I try to focus on really being present in the moment, Everything I am grateful for, Being open to all the ideas of the world, and if that doesn't work shaking off any "blocks" "baggage" or anything thats "bugged" me that day. Friends always help. A lot of times we look at the creative process as something solo - that transcends your inner being - we evaluate and criticize the artists journey how their work affects them and the people around them but in truth I view the artists journey as collaboration- friends and strangers alike always help spark new ideas and make the entire process much more enjoyable. .What gets you inspired? is it reading a book? going to a museum? petting a kitten? yoga? I would love to know.
Todays Challenge is to sit down and write a list of FIVE things that make you Feel inspired! (Either creatively, or to make a difference!) speaking of which I need to go for a walk! xoxo
1) Going Outside! / Or travel when possible even just to the grocery store.
2) Lighting Candles (I have no idea why but this always works for me)
3) Walking, Stretching, Swimming, Yoga,
4) looking up something entirely unrelated to myself or anything I am doing. - (Last time was the blue wall art project in Montreal)
5) Good conversation.
Whats your list? Cant wait.
My name is Kirra Moon and I am an Actress, Model, Writer, Adventurer, Artist trying to Navigate this crazy world. Recently I thought I might try a blog page to answer some of your questions etc. I get in my inboxes every day. I don't always respond because I feel like I am always on the move. Navigating life can be difficult or even considered Scary. We are constantly Compartmentalizing, Prioritizing, Separating Emotional from Logical thinking, and trying to find meaning in a society that seems to care much more about a perception of what we are "worth" rather than who we are. I believe that true value lies within the depths of our hearts and I hope to uncover some of the wisdom of the people I meet along the way and share it with you! This post was short but I am about to hop on a plane and head to another city! Thank you much for reading this it was lovely to meet you - See you soon.
I thought the first photo I put on here should represent me as me......... this was taken in my favorite French cafe after pulling an all nighter on a deadline with no fresh makeup etc. Its one of those completely candid on. your phone moments that just represents me completely as a human being.
do. you have any photographs like that? I think they are the best!
